Full cure of the adhesive is not obtained for 24 hours and handling within this period should be kept to a minimum. Tytex Frame & Floor PU adhesive has an open time of approximately 11 minutes at 20°C and a curing time of 30 minutes. These figures are for guidance only and variations in temperature, humidity and method of working will contribute to either a slower or faster working time.
Tytex Frame & Floor PU Adhesive, when uncured, can be removed using a PU cleaner. Cured product will prove very difficult to remove and should be removed using mechanical means with tooling.
Specifically formulated for the bonding of Timber Frame components to each other and the bonding of tongue and groove flooring to itself and timber joists.
Materials to be bonded should be clean and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.
To apply Tytex Frame & Floor, cut the nozzle to the required length and apply in bead form. When bonding flooring, the Tytex Frame & Floor should be applied not only to the timber joist or I-beam, but also to the groove of the flooring. Frame components should be held in place during the curing process and flooring should be nailed or screwed in the normal recommended manner.
Pressure should be maintained until the adhesive is sufficiently cured to permit handling of the bonded item.
