D4 Waterproof PU Adhesive
Tytex 5 Minute Set Gel PU Adhesive is a one-part, cartridge-loaded, solvent free, fast setting, moisture curing polyurethane thixotropic gel. Specially formulated for high performance water-resistant bonds between a wide range of materials. The thixotropic nature of the gel prevents slumping and gives a level of gap filling to the bond.

Clamping or pressing time is 5 mins, and full bond strength is achieved after 24 hours.
Suitable for a range of applications including:
- Wood jointing and construction
- Window and door frame manufacture
- Door manufacture
- Furniture manufacture
- Staircases
- Structural panel jointing
- Insulation bonding
- Boat building
NB. not suitable or polyethylene, polypropylene and other low surface energy materials.
Materials to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants. At least one of the surfaces to be bonded must be porous to allow moisture to reach the adhesive and effect the cure. Ensure surfaces are always clamped during the cure. Cure can be assisted by slightly moistening one surface with a damp cloth, but do not over wet.
Cartridge Application
- Cut the tip of the cartridge and screw on the nozzle. Cut nozzle to an angle of 45°.
- Apply the adhesive using a standard cartridge gun to one of the surfaces to be bonded and assemble the bond immediately (within 5 minutes).
- Apply pressure to the bond, by using a clamp.
- The product will foam slightly on application to fill any small gaps.
- Clean any excess adhesive immediately.
- Any cured adhesive must be removed via mechanical means or sharp tooling.
